My day with the Southern Sandwich company

October 3, 2010

Early Morning Before the CrowdsThe truck with its mascot Josie “The Dog” Wales early in the morning while we prepped for the day.

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to get down with the Southern Sandwich Company and lend a hand during a street festival. It was my first time doing something like this and all I wanted to do was not mess anything up (I did… only slightly). I did however get to sample everything on the menu and get to hang out with some pretty cool people. The owners Brett and Nathan Niebergall who grew up in Texas and the Carolinas, have brought their knowledge on BBQ to masses with some of the best sandwiches I’ve had. If you ever get to the San Francisco Bay Area, look for this truck. You will not be disappointed. You can see their website here.
